Music in the Meadow Returns to Cuyahoga Valley National Park’s Howe Meadow

Wed 6/8 @ 5:30PM

The free outdoor concert series will start come fast and furious now. One of the nicest — in a beautiful natural setting— is Music in the Meadow, hosted by Cuyahoga Valley National Park at Howe Meadow.

Come early and bring a picnic; family activities start at 5:30pm. The music begins at 6:30pm and this series has a penchant for booking the types of bands that make you want to get up and dance. The opener will certainly do that. Carlos Jones & the P.L.U.S. Band’s rhythmic, easygoing reggae just invites participation.

The concerts take place on alternate Wednesdays and are cancelled in the event of severe weather. (You can get an update after 2pm the day of the concert by calling 330-650-4636 X228).

This season also features Akron Americana band Hey Mavis (6/22), the bluegrass/country-based JP & the Chatfield Boys (7/6), country/folk trio the Lonesome Stars (7/20) and R&B/jazz/Afrobeat ensemble the Revolution Brass Band (8/3).
