Through September 6, you can catch the exhibit Snack at the Akron Art Museum, a fun, lighthearted look at the things we like to eat.
As part of the programming around that event, the museum, along with the Countryside Conservancy and Edible Cleveland are presenting a slide jam — six quick talks from people with some sort of interest in the area food scene. Presenters include Ben Bebenroth of Spice Acres, Spice Kitchen & Bar and Spice of Life Catering; Jamie Simpson of the Culinary Vegetable Institute; Salli Swindell of They Draw & Cook illustrated recipes; Andy Taray of Ohio Boy Art & Design; Abbe Turner of Lucky Penny Farm & Creamery; and Sane Wynn of Shane Wynn Photography.
The event is free, and Thursday is free day at the museum so come early and stay late to enjoy the art. The museum is open from 11am-9pm on Thursdays.
