Wed 6/1 @ 7-9PM

While the upcoming annual meeting of Future Heights, the citizen community development group in Cleveland Heights, will include the expected reporting on recent accomplishments and future projects, it’s got a program planned that should be of interest to those from other communities as well.

“Rediscovering Our Neighborhood Business Districts” is an interactive discussion featuring a panel of experts involved in various areas of regional development: Dione Alexander, president of Village Capital Corporation; Adam Rosen, economic development director for Detroit Shoreway Community Development Organization; Michael Fleming, executive director of St. Clair Superior Community Development Organization; and Bob Brown, former director of the Cleveland Planning Commission. They’ll bring perspectives from their different communities to share about how to build dynamic commercial districts. The discussion will be facilitated by Richey Piiparinen, director of the Center for Population Dynamics at Cleveland State University.

The meeting, which takes place at the historic Heights Rockefeller Building, is free and open to all, but reservations are required. Go here.
