If you’re a metal fan in Cleveland, chances are you listen to college radio programs such as Bill Peters’ long running Metal on Metal show on WJCU 88.7 FM. That’s why you’ll find shows like the WJCU Metal on Metal night out at the Maple Grove.

The headliner is southern California trio Night Demon, a young band with old roots. Formed in 2012, vocalist/bassist Jarvis Leatherby, guitarist Brent Woodward and drummer Dusty Squire look back to such classic metal bands as Saxon, Metallica, Iron Maiden and Diamond Head for influences. They released their debut full-length album Curse of the Damned in early 2015, while maintaining a grueling touring schedule that’s established them as outstanding live performers.

They’ll be coming through on their Final Curse tour. Joining them will be Salt Lake City quintet Visigoth and Cleveland’s Vandallus, a new project which features musicians who have played with Cleveland metal powerhouses such as Eternal Legacy, Midnight, Wretch, Breaker and Destructor. Vandallus will have some copies of their soon-to-be-released album On the High Side available at the show.

Doors are at 6:30; Vandallus takes the stage at 7:30, followed by Visigoth at 8:25 and Night Demon at 9:30. And since it’s a Bill Peters show, you can count on those time! Tickets are $10 at the door.
