The Race, Food & Justice conference at Case Western Reserve University, which debuted in 2013 and 2014, is back. This free and open-to-all event explores the intersection of racism and food, featuring panels and speakers with activists and scholars from around the country as well as northeast Ohio and participatory discussions about how to promote environmental justice.

Keynote speakers include Dr. Julian Agyeman, professor of urban and environmental policy and planning at Tufts University in Massachusetts; Elizabeth C. Yeampierre, a civil rights attorney and executive director of Brooklyn-based community group UPROSE; Dara Cooper, co-founder of the National Black Food and Justice Alliance; and youth activist Denzel Austin Thompson of Philadelphia’s Urban Creators.

Although it’s free, registration is required. Go here.
