Plain Dealer reporter Joanna Connors is getting national recognition already for her powerful new book, I Will Find You: A Reporter Investigates the Life of the Man Who Raped Her, telling the story of how she was raped at knifepoint by a stranger at Case Western Reserve’s Eldred Theatre where she went on assignment to review a play. After shelving the memory for more than two decades, she set out to learn all she could about the man who had such a major influence in her life and what his background suggested about the rape culture in America.
