Wed 4/20 @ 6PM

One of the great things about having a world-class art museum in our backyard is the opportunities to learn about art from different periods and part of the world. One thing it’s known for in the art world is its exceptional holdings of Asian Art with one of the best collections in the country. And today, you have the chance to learn how that collection is maintained when Chief conservator Per Knutås gives a talk titled “East Meets West: The Tao of Asian Art Conservation” at the museum’s Gartner Auditorium.

He’ll talk about the distinctive objects in the collection and the special challenges of keeping them in good condition. The program is hosted by the Women’s Council of the Cleveland Museum of Art. It’s free and open to the public. To make a reservation or learn more, call 216-707-6819.
