Ensemble Belvedere Plays Music by Bach & Other 18th-Century Composers at Heights Christian Church

EnsembleBelvedere

Fri 4/29 @ 7PM

Join the Shaker Heights Arts Council for a concert with new Cleveland chamber music group Ensemble Belvedere. Founded less than three years ago, the quartet — artistic director/baroque flutist Susan Shaw, baroque violinist Katin Cuellar-Rendon, baroque cellist Eva Lymenstull and harpsichordist Qin Ting Tan —specialize in music of the baroque, rococo and early classical eras.

The program they’ll perform at the Heights Christian Church is called “A Tale of Two Cities: Music of 18th-century Dresden and Berlin.” The program consists of music created by composers like the Bachs, J.S. and C.P.E., as well as others, for Germany royalty. The interactive performance will include the opportunity for the audience to ask questions about the music and the instruments after each piece.

Tickets are $30, which includes light refreshments and a wine reception at 7pm, followed by the performance at 7:45. Call 216-916-9360 or go to shakerartscouncil.org.
