Sun 5/1 @ 1PM

The Cleveland Heights-University Heights Libraries are celebrating their centennial this year, 100 years after the public library’s precursor opened as the high school library. (Much of their history is rooted in school libraries).

They will kick off the festivities this week at the historical Coventry Village branch, which was the library’s first permanent, owned location, opened in 1926 as the library’s main branch. Local novelist Mary Doria Russell (pictured) will give a talk, there will be live a music and children’s activities, as well as birthday cake. And a time capsule will be buried. It’s free and all are welcome.
