Youngstown power-pop band Blue Ash enjoyed a brief moment of critical attention in the mid ’70s when a cadre of music writers embraced this ’60s throwback genre, attracted by the bright Beatlesque charm of the music. Alas, they never became much more than a cult item and petered out by the end of the decade, although they did some reunion shows in the ’00s.

Now, the group’s bassist Frank Secich, who formed the Deadbeat Poets in the early ’00s, has penned a book about his rock & roll life titled Circumstantial Evidence. He’ll be at the B-Side Arcade in Cleveland Heights to promote the book and play an acoustic set. Books will be available courtesy of Macs Backs. Admission is $5.
