Music & Words Combine in ‘The Sung Path’ @HeightsArts House Concert

Heights Arts’ year-long series of concerts in intimate spaces around the area continues with “The Sung Path, a Tandem Journey of Music & Words “ taking place at a Herrick Mews Carriage House on the west side of Cleveland Heights just above University Circle.

Six Cleveland Orchestra members — principal English horn Robert Walters, violinists Stephen Rose and Jeffery Zehngut, violist Michael Strauss, cellist Charles Bernard and bassist Scott Dixon — will play “Soliloquy” by Jennifer Higdon and “Morning Star” by Edward Niedermaier. They’ll also perform the world premiere of “Voyage,” composed by Cleveland Orchestra associate principal oboist Jeffery Rathbun, which will be accompanied by Walters’ poetry.

Tickets are $55; $45 for Heights Arts members. Students under 18 accompanied by a parent are $15, as is the tickets for the parent. Directions to the home will be provided to ticket buyers.
