Stark County’s Bicentennial Celebrated in ‘The Bicentennial Project’ @KentStateStark Theater

Bicentennial

Fri 2/26-Sun 3/6

The theater at Kent State University’s Stark County branch is delving into the history of its own community with Arwen Mitchell’s The Bicentennial Project, created in collaboration with The Canton Repository.

It’s described as a “tapestry-style play” that tells the story of Stark County’s last 200 years through the eyes of the media. It will be performed Fri 2/26, Sat 2/27, Fri 3/4 and Sat 3/5 @ 8pm and Sun 3/6 @ 2:30pm at the Kent State Stark Theatre in Jackson Township. Tickets are $10 for adults, $7 for seniors and non-KSU students. It’s free for KSU students. The opening night proceeds will benefit students in the KSU Stark music and theater programs. Call the box office at 330-244-3348 or go to kent.edu/stark/theatre.
