FrozenFest @GeaugaParks West Woods Offers Outdoor Family Fun

FrozenFest

Sun 2/7 @noon-4PM

The way things have been going, there may not be much snow and ice this year for FrozenFest, taking place at the Geauga Park District’s West Woods location. But the show will go on, as there will be plenty of winter-themed activities for the whole family, both outside and indoors at the Nature Center.

You can try to hit targets at the snowball shooting gallery, feed feathered friends at the Bird in Hand feeding station, make snowflake paintings and mini-cards, watch an ice sculpture demonstration, meet sled dogs courtesy of the Siberian Husky Club of Greater Cleveland, and, if there is snow, enjoy some snowshoeing or, if not, hiking.

There’ll be more educational and fun hands-on activities inside, plus puppet shows, live old-time string band music from the Oak Island Skunk Jumpers, and a cookie and cocoa bar (Tea and coffee will be available for the grownups). Will there also be face painting? Yes. You can’t call yourself a “family” event without it. Everything is free.
