The Music Box Supper Club has started a new Wednesday night series called Cleveland Stories. Each of the free evenings features someone who has a little piece of Cleveland history to share. Accompanying the talk is a special fixed-price menu for $20 that will change each week along with the speakers.

The first speaker will be Greg Harris, who took over as president and CEO of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum at the end of 2012 when Terry Stewart retired. Harris had already been at the Rock Hall for four years and had previously worked at the National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum in Cooperstown. He’ll be telling behind-the-scenes stories from the Rock Hall. The menu will feature “shroom soup,” pot roast and “cosmic brownie sundaes.” Double entendres apparently intended. The event itself is free.

The event on Wed 2/24 with Dan Ruminski talking about “The Vixens of Millionaires Row” is sold out. But you can still get a spot at the Wed 3/2 presentation with longtime sportswriter Dan Coughlin or the Wed 3/9 event with John Gorman, who was program director/general manager of WMMS-FM back in its 70s/80s heyday when it was the most influential rock radio station in the country. On Wed 3/23, local TV expert Mike Olszewski will share some of his tales from Cleveland local television history.
