Canadian Folk Trio Ten Strings & a Goatskin Performs @ConservancyCVNP Happy Days Lodge

Fri 2/12 @ 8PM

Young Canadian trio Ten Strings and a Goatskin has made quite a splash for a relatively new band on the folk/traditional music scene where some bands have been together for decades. Fusing Irish, French and Acadian folk tunes with their own originals, the group from Prince Edward Island — barely five years old and still in their early 20s — has been nominated for and won a series of Canadian music awards.

Featuring guitarist Jesse Périard and brothers Rowen and Caleb Gallant on violin and percussion respectively, the group brings a fresh perspective to their roots, which they demonstrated on the 2013 album Corbeau. They’ve toured festivals and folk venues across Canada steadily, and now they’ll be coming to Northeast Ohio to perform at Cuyahoga Valley National Parks Happy Days Lodge as part of its Heritage series. Tickets are $17; $12 for CVNP conservancy members; $5 for kids 3-12.
