The next edition of Reel Science, co-sponsored by Cleveland Cinemas and the Cleveland Museum of Natural History, features the 1966 science fiction film Fantastic Journey, a highly improbably and definitely fantastical story of a group of surgeons miniaturized to operate within the brain of an injured scientist.
Providing the introduction and leading the post-film discussion will be Dr. Nicole Burt, a post-doctoral fellow in Human Health and Evolutionary Medicine and CMNH educator Lee Gambol, who’ll talk about the obstacles to making this a reality.
It will screen at Cleveland Heights’ Cedar Lee Theatre. Tickets are $5 for members, $7.50 for non-members.
