Local Food Mondays Head East To @LaunchHouse in Shaker Heights

LocalFood

Mon 2/1 @ 5:30PM

The Local Food Mondays series is trying something a little different. The monthly networking/educational events for those interested in growing/producing/ distributing/eating local food has always taken place at the Great Lakes Tasting Room in Ohio City.

In 2016, it will alternate between Great Lakes and the Launch House in Shaker Heights, giving it an east/west split. In February it heads to the Launch House for the first time where the program will talk about high tunnels and spring growing, a timely topic as more farmers look at ways to extend their growing seasons.

George Remington of Morningside Farms in Hinckley, Margaret Fitzpatrick, director of agricultural empowerment at the Refugee Response (which runs part of the Ohio City Farm) and Chris Bond, Horticulturalist and Farm Food Program Coordinator at the Case Western Reserve Farm in Hunting Valley, will be the speakers. As always there will be time for attendees to meet and chat with others of similar interests.

The event is free, but space is limited, so please go here register. There’s also information there if you have a food-related business and would like to reserve space to promote your product or service.
