January’s a slow time of year for eating out but chef/restaurateur Zack Bruell — one of Cleveland’s earliest advocates for fresh, seasonal cooking and high-quality food in a casual atmsophere — is giving area foodies a good reason to do so, and to check out his six area fine-dining establishments.
Over the next four weeks, you can stop in at any of them and enjoy a custom three-course meal for just $33, plus tax and tip. They include Tremont’s Parallax, Table 45 in the InterContinental Hotel on the Cleveland Clinic campus, University Circle’s cozy, L’Albatros, East 4th Street Italian eatery Chinato (pictured), PlayhouseSquare’s Cowell & Hubbard and the new Alley Cat Oyster Bar.
Bruell has designed special menus for these meals, with multiple options for each course, including vegan and vegetarian options, yay.
“I have always emphasized a more approachable take on fine dining,” says Bruell. “Menus were designed to give diners the chance to get an essence of each place — for a reasonable price — and hopefully, leave them wanting more.”
