Cleveland theater critic Christine Howey is known for her acerbic wit and her keen insight into the dramatic arts. She’s also known as a skilled performer with decades of acting experience, most recently her one-woman show Exact Change, talking about her transition from Dick to Christine 25 years ago.
Now she’s got a newly published book of poetry called Thin Chance, or How to Get a Reputation as a Dick. She’ll be reading from it at Mac’s Backs on Coventry Road, an evening that also features fellow poet Robert Walicki reading from his book Almost Sound of Snow Falling. Howey promises that her book is “predominantly humorous pieces, so I hope you come prepared to laugh.”
Mac’s will have both books available for purchase and we’re sure both authors will be delighted to sign copies. The event is free.
