Songs of Resistance

Sun 12/6 @ 3PM

Sun 12/13 @ 3PM

Music has always been used by people to bolster their spirits and strengthen their resolve in times of tribulation and oppression. Sister Tina Farmer and the Voice of Imani from the Imani Temple Ministries will perform a program at the Maltz Museum of Jewish Heritage called “Songs of Resistance” featuring music from the time of slavery, which they’ll tie in to the museum’s current exhibit Violins oh Hope, featuring instruments that survived the Holocaust.

They’ll perform it Sun 12/6 @ 3PM at the Maltz Museum and Sun 12/13 at Imani Temple. Tickets are $6 for each performance and seating is limited. Call 216.593.0575 or go to maltzmuseum.org. December 6 admission includes admission to the Violins of Hope exhibit, so come early and see it.
