So you had a nice Thanksgiving feast and slept it off the next day. Now you’re ready for “Danksgiving.”

Huh? Here’s how the urban dictionary describes it: “A holiday traditionally held on the Sunday after Thanksgiving, Danksgiving is a celebration and time to give thanks for man’s ability to fuck himself up. To this end, many traditional Danksgiving meals are prepared, often some spin-off of Thanksgiving foods but typically with marijuana and/or alcohol being incorporated into the ingredients. Pot brownies, potatoes with cannabutter ….”

You will therefore not be surprised to learn that a group of local jam band musicians will be hosting a concert honoring the occasion at the Kent Stage. And we imagine you will not be surprised to learn that it will feature a set of Grateful Dead material performed by musicians from those bands — Aliver Hall, Yosemight and the Mucklebuck — along with Dave Katz from Columbus jam veterans Ekoostik Hookah. Aliver Hall, Yosemight and the Mucklebuck will also play full sets of their own material.

Tickets are $10 in advance, $12 at the door.
