Cleveland Indie Pop-Rockers @TheseKnees Celebrate New EP Release @ GrogShop

The oddly named These Knees has been wowing Cleveland audiences for nearly five years now. Led by lanky tomboyish singer/guitarist Stephanie Trivison (who has said issues with her own knees gave her the idea for the band name), the band began as her solo project and then became a trio with drummer Rob Hassing and bassist Bryan Robinson, and more recently a quartet with former Bethesda guitarist Jesse Scaggs.

But the gist of the Trivison’s songs has remained the same: graceful, high-spirited pop rock that’s easy to like. And her casual charisma makes this a band always worth seeing, undoubtedly why they’ve appeared at every local festival worth playing.

They released their debut album The Young and the Bright in 2013, and now they’re following it up with Night Fires. They’ll celebrate its release with a show at the Grog Shop. Kid Runner, the Whiskey Hollow and Murderline open. Tickets are $10 in advance, $12 at the door.
