The Western Reserve Herb Society, a bonding organization for those who love to cultivate and use these aromatic, tasty and east-to-grow plants, has been doing its annual herb fair for 70 years.
Taking place at the Cleveland Botanical Garden (where the society maintains an herb garden), the event features products made by members from herbs they’ve grown, ranging from jams to wreathes, as well as other herb-related products, books and gardening supplies. It’s also an opportunity to talk to experienced gardeners, ask questions and trade tips. This year’s Herb of the Year is savory, so there should be plenty of that around.
Before you leave, be sure to step outside and see the beautiful herb garden with its nine themed sections, installed in 1969.
The herb fair is free with regular admission, $11 for adults, $6 kids 3-12, free for kids under 3.
