If you find yourself itching to hear some nice, familiar-style music on a quiet Monday night, head on down to the Music Box Supper Club where the Cleveland Blues Society will be hosting its monthly jam night. The evening opens with local electric blues quartet 9 Volt playing a set that offers some R&B and good ol’ rock & roll in addition to blues. After they play, the jammin’ starts.
It’s an opportunity to mingle with other lovers of old-school music and learn what the nonprofit Cleveland Blues Society is doing to promote blues in northeast Ohio, especially since it’s free and open to all — members and non-members alike. But since it’s Cleveland Beer Week, you can also order a special flight of four craft beers from Atlanta’s SweetWater Brewing Company for only $10, which should make the music even more enjoyable.
