Fri 9/25 @ 9PM

If you closed your eyes and listened to Cleveland organ/drums duo Archie & the Bunkers, you’d never guess they were as young as they are. You’d expect to open your eyes and see a bunch of gray-haired geezers trying to squeeze one last tour out of that legendary garage-rock hit they had in the ’60s.

But drummer/vocalist Emmett and organist/vocalist Cullen are in their teens, although teens clearly influenced by the Doors as well as other, more obscure ’60s groups and ’70s punk. Officially formed in the summer of 2013 (although of course the two have played together a lot longer), Archie & the Bunkers have become a regular opening act at area clubs even though neither is even 18 yet. Now they’re ready to launch their debut album, which will be available on CD and vinyl through England’s Dirty Water Records.

They’ll introduce it to their Cleveland fans at the Beachland Tavern with two other local underground bands, Ma Holos and Shitbox Jimmy, opening.

Admission is $8.
