The Local Food Mondays at the Great Lakes Brewing tasting room ran out of steam for a couple of years but came back in full swing early this year. They’re an evening where people passionate about local food, sustainable growing and eating better can come together to exchange ideas and information and meet others with the same interests.
The events, on the first Monday of each month, include social time to mingle and network, and a short presentation with area people doing interesting things involving food. This month’s speakers include Jeremy Lisy and Abbe Turner of cooperative urban farm Green City Growers, Noelle Celeste, publisher of quarterly food magazine Edible Cleveland and Jessie Jones of Whole Systems Design., which designs permaculture infrastructure.
The bar is open for purchasing drinks too.
