Local Photographer Eartha Goodwin Talks About Shooting the Black Keys Back When @HudsonLibr

Eartha

Mon 10/5 @ 7PM

Photographer Eartha Goodwin’s two-decade career has been diverse. There’s a dramatic depth to her work that gives away her background in theater. Her portraits in particular are arrestingly composed, both mysterious and illuminating.

She isn’t especially known as a music photographer but given how fascinated people are with brushes with the rich and famous, that’s how she’s being promoted for her upcoming interview and presentation at the Hudson Library & Historical Society: photographer for the Black Keys. She happened to shoot the band back in their early days when they were scuffling around area clubs that weren’t always full, not headlining the Q.

“Learn more about Eartha’s photography, her run-ins with the band, and pick up a few photography tips and tricks,” we’re promised.

WKSU 89.7FM producer/reporter Kabir Bhatia will moderate the program, part of a series of interviews at the library with local people who have done interesting things. It’s free. Go here to register. See more of Goodwin’s work here.
