It’s not the first time this place is going up in flames. And I know it won’t be the last. But the inaugural FireFish Festival of fire, art & water, led by the venerable arts pioneer James Levin, promises to light up Lorain, its Black River, and our imaginations.

Music is also smoking hot this week, with Frode Gjerstad leading the trio Tipple at the BOP STOP, where The Thing set things on fire, while sonic artist Ellen Fullman performs her Long String Instrument at Transformer Station, and the FiveOne Experimental Orchestra performs in the Flower Child vintage store.
