You missed the Ohio Burlesque Festival last month? Shame on you! It’s one of the most entertaining events in town. But you can get on board the growing neo-burlesque movement with Oddi-Tease, the upcoming show sponsored by the group that puts on the OBF.
Every couple of months, they stage a show at the Beachland featuring both local and out-of-town performers of all types. You never know what you will see. Of course, there will be burlesque girls with acts ranging from humorous to sumptuous to edgy. There might be drag queens, dancers, torch singers, comedians or magicians. You’ll just have to come find out.
Oddi-Tease will feature Florida’s Vita Devoid, Chicago’s Gigi De Luxe (pictured), Akron’s Discord Addams and the woman who got the ball rolling in Cleveland, Bella Sin, of local troupe Le Femme Mystique. And when they say “much more,” you’d better believe it.
Tickets range from $15 in advance and $20 day of show, to $25 for a reserved seat and $30 for VIP. By the time the show is through, you’ll be asking when you can pre-order tickets for next August’s Ohio Burlesque Fest!
