Frank Sinatra Celebrated @NighttownCLE and @MusicBoxCle

Sinatra

Fri 8/7 @ 8PM (Music Box)

Fri 8/7 @ 8:30PM (Nighttown)

Who knew Frank Sinatra would be so popular all these years after his ’40s-’60s heyday? There’s little more to be said about the crooner who died in 1998 at the age of 82, having become the epitome of Las Vegas nightclub stars. But his music lives on and on — and on.

By sheer happenstance (one presumes), two of the area’s top music clubs are hosting a Frank Sinatra tribute evening on the same day.

At Nighttown in Cleveland Heights, vocalist Lou Armagno and his band Sinatra Selects will perform songs from their new album Never Before, a 100th birthday tribute to Sinatra, as well as other Sinatra favorites. Ticket are $15.

At the Music Box Supper Club, actor/singer Michael Sonata returns to do one of his periodic shows there, bringing his repertoire of almost 100 Sinatra songs covering his entire career. Tickets are $7.
