Launched in January 2012, the CAN (Collective Arts Network) Journal serves as a clearinghouse/one-stop source for information about northeast Ohio’s visual arts scene. It started with just over two dozen members — galleries, museums, educational institutions and individual artists. That number has grown to more than 80, and the organization, with its flagship quarterly publication, became a nonprofit this year.
It’ll debut its fall 2015 issue, as usual, with a launch party. These take place at different arts venues around town, and this one is at Gordon Square’s 1point618 Gallery, which is currently hosting its ten-year anniversary show, 10 Years X 66 Artists X 88 Exhibitions.
See the show, enjoy some refreshments, pick up a copy of the hot-off-the-presses fall 2015 CAN Journal and hear from publisher/editor Michael Gill what’s going on with CAN. The event is free and open to the public.
