Cleveland Jazz Orchestra Swings Into Lincoln Park @TremontWest @ArtsInAugust

ClevelandJazzOrchestra

Sat 8/8 @ 7PM

Formed in the early 1980s, the Cleveland Jazz Orchestra has worked tirelessly to keep big band jazz alive, playing the classics of the genre as well as new compositions by its many talented members and other composers. Now led by its longtime trombonist (and head of the Case Western Reserve jazz program) Paul Ferguson as artistic director, the group continues to spread the jazz gospel with a full schedule of shows at Playhouse Square.

For one evening though, they’ll be taking it outside to Tremont’s Lincoln Park, as part of its Arts in August series. They’ll be joined by local jazz/pop/soul vocalist Evelyn Wright. Bring your chair, your blanket, your picnic basket and enjy music from some of the area’s stellar jazz musicians.

It’s free.
