Believe In CLE @BelieveCle Is a Yoga Movement Celebrating Cleveland

BelieveYoga

Fri 9/4 @ 6PM

Finally, it’s back — The most people you’ll ever see standing like trees outside the Rock Hall at Northcoast Harbor when Believe in CLE says “namaste” to Cleveland with lots of heart on Fri 9/4, beginning at 6PM. Don’t do yoga? Get introduced to the mind, body and spirit of the ancient practice of yoga, which was transported to the U.S. from Indian ashrams by Yogananda during the 1920s.

“Where there was doubt, now there is transformation . . . Just like CLE, we are beautiful just as we are,” the website proclaims.  Yoga is all about seeing the beauty within that resides in all of us and believing that any of us can be transformed — and so in Cleveland, we love it just as it is, recognizing its essence as its people who are becoming more than we are.

Registration begins at 6PM when DJ Rimon ramps up the music and yogis choose spots to unroll their mats. Arrive early or lose out! Cleveland City Councilman Joe Cimperman will lead the cause and tell us all the reasons why we should believe in Cleveland now and in the future. This is a true community event.

And then the yoga begins—a 75-minute vinyasa flow practice. Teachers Tammy Lyons and Marni Task bring all the Cleveland yoga enthusiasts together in body, breath and spirit. After an invigorating, body and mind awakening, the music revs up for dancing, connection and shopping.

While Believe in CLE loves biking and walking and public transportation, we sometimes find ourselves stuck in cars. If so, find yourself to a parking garage at Great Lakes Science Center, the Port Authority next to the Mather Museum, North Point Garage at E. 9th at the Shoreway, and the Standard parking lot at N. Marginal near Burke Lakefront Airport.

Loving Cleveland, together, for four hours on the North Coast. What a way to begin a long Labor Day weekend! By the time we go home, the skyline will be lit up and the stars will be showing the sailors their way. And we’ll go home more relaxed and happier.

Bring some friends, and don’t forget your yoga mat when you journey to one of the best yoga events ever. For more information, go to believeincle.com/.

Cool Cleveland contributor Claudia J. Taller began her 30-Perfect Days Project that was captured in her book, 30 Perfect Days, Finding Abundance in Ordinary Life, at her favorite Lakewood yoga studio on a starlit winter morning.
