See works revisited in Theme and Variation: New works inspired by beginnings. While working as a framer, artist Casey Ruic collected matt board and, after accumulating a 6 foot stack, decided to cut into the surface and carefully remove the outer shell with an Xacto blade.
He liked the sharp contrast and along the way refined his process. From four feet away his works look like prints, yet they’re matt board cutouts. Go see why his work is collected by so many in the know in his show at Studio2091.
