For the past two years, Cleveland’s Cellar Door Productions has hosted the Cellar Door Rendezvous, taking over the Beachland Ballroom and Tavern for two nights to showcase multiple band lineups in each room.
The event returns for its third year with a much more ambitious and greatly expanded format, this time sprawling over six days and six venues. It kicks off at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum on Tue 8/4 @ 7PM with a free opening party and PechaKucha style event.
It moves to Brothers Lounge on Wed 8/5 for an evening of local songwriters performing and talking about their work. It’s sponsoring MOCA’s free Beat Uptown lineup on Thu 8/6 with Cities and Coasts and Midnight Passenger, with a special show by Seafair on Fri 8/7 at the House of Blues where they’ll be joined by a 30-piece orchestra.
It concludes over the weekend with a multi-band lineup at the Beachland Ballroom and Tavern Sat 8/8 and a hip hop/R&B-oriented show at the Grog Shop Sun 8/9. The MOCA show, like the opening party, is free. The House of Blues Show is $12; the other events are $10.
