So you’re starting to harvest the first of the summer veggie crop or you’re drooling over the stuff starting to overflow the vendor tables at farmers markets. But maybe you feel like you need some new ideas in how to use and prepare it.
Come on down to the Coit Road Farmers Market where, on alternate Saturdays, there’ll be a workshop/demonstration in preparing all the fresh produce. You’ll want to stroll through the market first (it’s open from 8am-1pm every Saturday year round and 9am-1pm Wednesdays through the summer and early fall) and see what grabs your fancy. Then head for the kitchen area and ask for suggestions on what to do with it. Coit’s workshops are informal and generally feature tasting too! They’re free.
