Sustainability and food are two hot topics and when you put them together, they are red-hot. The Chagrin Arts Dialogue Series did a panel on “The Sustainable Table,” and it was so popular they’re doing “The Sustainable Table Part 2” with a new group of chefs and business owners who work with food. They’ll talk about how sustainable practices fuel their approach to food. There will be a marketplace afterwards so attendees can purchase local foods and other food-related products.
The panel will include Spice Kitchen + Bar/Spice of Life catering’s Ben Bebenroth, Great Lakes Brewing’s sustainability manager Saul Kliorys, Jean Mackenzie of Mackenzie Creamery and James Simpson of the Chefs Garden and Culinary Vegetable Institute. Urban farmer and landscape designer Jay Szabo moderates. It takes place at Federated Church in downtown Chagrin Falls.
