Like many local jazz musicians, pianist Joe Hunter is always busy. He teaches in Tri-C’s noted jazz program and performs all over town by himself, with Ernie Krivda’s Fat Tuesday Big Band and ’40s-style swing band Red Light Roxy. He’s on call to back big-name artists who perform at Nighttown.
For his next performance at Nighttown, he and his trio will be joined by a string quartet who will add a new dimension to Hunter’s own music, including tracks from his CD release of last year, Sweet and Lovely.
