Last year, in one of the more unusual bookings at University Circle’s summer-long free concert series Wade Oval Wednesdays, members of the Cleveland Orchestra went old-school country and played bluegrass. Apparently, it was a hit because they’re doing it again, calling themselves the Cleveland Bluegrass Orchestra. Also performing: the Great Lakes Light Opera. No word on whether they’ll be performing Bill Monroe or Stanley Brothers tunes.

Wade Oval Wednesdays also feature food vendors and art activities for the kids. Bring your chair or blanket and sit back back and enjoy.
