Clarinet Concerto Features Franklin Cohen @CleveOrchestra @BlossomMusicCtr

ElgarFranklinCohen*

Sun 7/26 @ 7PM

Clarinetist Franklin Cohen recently retired from the Cleveland Orchestra after just shy of 40 years there, although it’s clear we haven’t heard the last of him in these parts what with his work with Cleveland ChamberFest which he co-founded with his daughter and guest performances around town.

We haven’t heard the last of him with the Cleveland Orchestra either. Tonight he’ll be featured with them on the Blossom Music Center stage as the soloist in Carl Maria von Weber’s 1811 Clarinet Concerto No. 2. The concerto is on the program with Edward Elgar’s Enigma Variations. Jahja Ling conducts.

Tickets range from $24 to $89.
