Exquisite
But it’s the surrealists‘ parlor game termed Exquisite Corpse that relates even more: a collaborative creative project whereby each artist adds their own inspiration only having seen the very last bits of the artist who contributed before. Doesn’t that sound exactly like what has been going on around here lately?
Isn’t it about time for monthly walking tours of University Circle? We had Chris Ronayne tell us all about it. Or you could Cycle Canalway this weekend on the Towpath and support the CVNP. The Cleveland Print Room is taking the Exquisite Corpse concept even further and turning it into a benefit. We’re taking dance to another level with a dizzying array of performances for you to savor. Grab a Guinness, visit the Springfield Bog to celebrate the restoration of the habitat, and have your own exquisite mini-vacation right in your own backyard. –Thomas Mulready

Playing off an idea invented by the Surrealists called Exquisite Corpse, the Cleveland Print Room is hosting a benefit that asked artists to create a section of mural without knowing what any of the other artists were doing. Guests can bid on those segments as well as create some of their own. Children are most definitely welcome! Sat 7/18.
University Circle didn’t grow up as a result of the freeways so it’s a world unto itself. It contains some of the city’s most valuable cultural, educational and medical assets. And in just the last few years, new development has exploded. University Circle Inc’s president Chris Ronayne talks to CoolCleveland about why they started monthly walking tours of the area. Sat 7/18.
