From 1pm until the early evening hours, crowds of music fans strolled and biked down the side streets of Larchmere Boulevard, looking for a house a place to set up a chair or lay out their blanket and listen to some music.. The 7th annual Larchmere Porchfest featured 30 acts playing for free in front of people’s homes or in courtyards, until 8pm, with bars and restaurants on Larchmere hosting “afterparties” until much later. All ages and types of people gathered to hear bands like pop-leaning rockers Cities & Coasts, the funky, soulful Admirables and the party-starting horns-and-percussion Revolution Brass Band.
