LakewoodAlive’s Front Porch Summer Concerts Kick Off

Music is bursting out all over Lakewood this summer. Last week we told you about the Sunday evening concert series at the Lakewood Park Gazebo. This week, the LakewoodAlive/Lakewood Public Library concert series starts on the Lakewood Public Library Main Branch’s front porch and continues every Friday for 11 weeks.

It starts off with a bang with popular outdoor summer festival and concert favorite, Carlos Jones & the P.L.U.S. Band playing their optimistic and inclusive roots reggae. Bring a chair or blanket, and come early or stay late to check out the shops, restaurants, bars and coffeeshops in the surrounding downtown Lakewood area.

The concerts go through Fri 9/11 with a different genre each week, including soul, jazz, world music, swamp rock and Americana.
