The Gordon Square Arts District will be the place to be on the last Wednesday evening of the month all summer long. It’s called Patio Kulchur, and it showcases all the art that inhabits the area centered around Detroit Avenue.
First you’ll want to stop at the Gordon Square Farmers Market from 4-7pm. Then head to one of the area’s many bar and restaurants for a bite to eat and a sip to drink, while taking in a sample of why it’s called the “arts district.” Dancers, actors and musicians will be performing on patios throughout the area. Among the venues hosting performers are Spice Kitchen, Gypsy Beans, Toast, Stone Mad, Luxe, Artful Living, Cha and Local West, while Graffiti will have a showcase of visual artists.
Pick up a map at the farmers market at the corner of West 65th and Detroit. All the events are free.
