Among the farmland of Ashtabula County is a place where cows aren’t commodities. They aren’t seen as meat or a milk supply — but as sentient beings who deserve a peaceful life at Lasa Sanctuary.
The sanctuary, located in Jefferson, is throwing a Lasa-versary Celebration where guests are invited to check out the farm, get to know the animals and celebrate one of their cows, Riya Aurora, as she prepares to give birth to the first Lasa-born baby. Kids are welcome and there will be baby shower games and a talk with the founders.
