Since 1967, the city of Lorain, also called the International City, has celebrated the cultures and diversity that make the city unique with the Lorain International Festival. It will hold its 49th annual festival at Black River Landing.

The festival weekend will feature a wide variety of ethnic food vendors, different cultural booths and crafts, as well as entertainment representing different cultures and other on-going live performances.

Over the years the festival has grown into more than just a weekend, with a full week of events to celebrate the different cultures the city and to drive the mission of the Lorain International Association Mission: “To showcase the city of Lorain and its diverse heritage and promote unity and peace among cultures.”

Every year the festival also spotlights one nationality with certain events of the week tailored to represent that culture. This year the festival will spotlight the African-American nationality.

Admission is $2, and will change after 6:30pm Saturday to $5.
