Folksinger Greg Brown was performing back in the ’70s. But he didn’t really sink deep roots in the national music scene until the early ’80s with the release of his first solo album in 1980 and regular guest appearances on NPR’s A Prairie Home Companion.
He’s since released another two dozen albums, had his songs recorded by Willie Nelson, Mary Chapin Carpenter and Willie Nelson, and earned enough respect that there have been two albums dedicated to paying tribute to his songwriting.
He’ll be performing at the Kent Stage. Tickets are $27.50.
