Fri 5/22-Mon 5/25

Sure, there’s some pretty cheesy entertainment at the Great American Rib Cook Off. But no one’s holding a gun to your head to make you listen to Disco Inferno if that’s not your thing.

The four-day event also offers a great opportunity from some of Cleveland’s best local original musicians to perform and for rib-eaters to check out some great talent on two stages.

The “Ones to Watch” stage will feature a whole bunch of the great area bands performing their own music throughout the weekend. Among them: Tri-C High School rock Off winner M4, the Chris Allen Band, These Knees, Hawkeye, Cities and Coast, Ryan Humbert, Ottawa, So Long Albatross, Archie Green, Tom Evanchuck, Midnight Passenger, Oldboy, By Light We Loom and, newly moved back from Portland, Oregon, Diana Chittester. Welcome home, Diana!

There’s a full schedule here.

Local music/education nonprofit Roots of American Music is hosting the acoustic dining tent, where Rachel Brown (pictured), Austin Walkin’ Cane, Tony Lang & Frank Camp, Morgan Mecaskey, Callie Shea Sullivan, the Spyder Stompers, Joshua Jesty, Jason Patrick Meyers, Christopher Black, Dan Miraldi and Alexis Antes will perform.

See their schedule here.

Music is free with the $6 admission to the Rib Cook Off. Monday it’s just $1.
