Contrapunctus Sings Spanish Polyphony at Mary Queen of Peace Church

Cntraunctus

Sun 5/31 @ 3PM

Cleveland vocal ensemble Contrapunctus takes listeners on a time-traveling musical journey, all the way back to the middle ages and back again into modern times, exploring a cappella music throughout the centuries.

The group’s latest performance will explore “The Glories of Spanish Polyphony,” and they promise it will cover four centuries of Spanish music, including sacred music from 16th-century composers like Alonso Lobo and Tomas Luis de Victoria. It will take place in an appropriate setting: Mary Queen of Peace Church on Cleveland’s near west side.

The concert is free; donations will be accepted.
