Cleveland’s BlueWater Chamber Orchestra has partnered with the Northeast Ohio Music Teachers Association to give some talented young players a chance to perform. The winners of Young Artist Concerto Competition, sponsored by the NOMTA and held for the first time this year with plans to make it a biennial event, will perform with the group at Baldwin Wallace University’s Gamble Auditorium.
Each of the four players — violinist Ashley Zendarski, and pianists Asya Akkus, Liliana Garlisi and Catharine Baek — will play the concerto movement they played for the competition: music by Mendelssohn, Haydn and Mozart.
The BlueWater Chamber Orchestra will open the concert with Beethoven’s Symphony No. 1.
The concert is free.
